Microsoft's (MSFT) Office 2016 Said Having Stability Issues with OS X El Capitan (AAPL)

October 2, 2015 9:54 AM

Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) recently touted the launch of Office 2016, but the news isn't ringing too fondly in the ears of Mac users.

According to market reports, the latest Office is having trouble running on OS X El Capitan. Sources believe that the problem might center around Outlook, though Excel and Word were said to be potential culprits, as well.

There are also various reason behind the crashes: using two Office apps at once, waking the Mac from sleep mode, etc.

Microsoft says its working "closely" with Apple to resolve the issue, according to ZDNet.

Shares of Microsoft are down 1.2 percent.
