Urban Outfitters (URBN) Misses Q1 EPS by 5c; Comps Rose 4%
Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) reported Q1 EPS of $0.25, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $739.01 million versus the consensus estimate of $758.25 million.
Comparable Retail segment net sales, which include our comparable direct-to-consumer channel, increased 4%. (The Street was looking for an increase of 5.3 percent.) Comparable Retail segment net sales increased 17% at Free People, 5% at Urban Outfitters and 1% at the Anthropologie Group. Wholesale segment net sales rose 18%.
