KeyBanc Upgrades TreeHouse Foods (THS) to Sector Weight

May 7, 2015 1:42 PM

KeyBanc upgraded TreeHouse Foods (NYSE: THS) from Underweight to Sector Weight. Shares of TreeHouse declined after the company reported Q1 results and guidance. Analyst Akshay S. Jagdale said his thesis played out.

"Recall our UW thesis was driven by our view that THS was likely to lose significant share in its single-serve beverages business, which we had estimated could result in DD EPS downside in 2015. Since our downgrade, taking into account today’s 10% EPS guide down related to lower SS earnings, estimates will have come down by ~20% and the stock is very close to our price target. We think valuation fairly reflects this further earnings downside risk, as such we are upgrading THS to Sector Weight," said Jagdale.
