Kirkland's (KIRK) Tops Q3 EPS by 4c; Lifts FY14 EPS Midpoint

Kirkland's (NASDAQ: KIRK) reported Q3 EPS of $0.07, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $117.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $114.4 million.

Comparable store sales for the 13 weeks ended November 1, 2014, including e-commerce sales, increased 6.3% compared with an increase of 4.9% in the prior-year quarter. Kirkland’s opened 10 stores and closed one store during the third quarter, bringing the total number of stores to 337 at quarter end.

Kirkland's sees FY2014 EPS of $0.90-$0.97, versus prior guidance of $0.87-$0.97 and the consensus of $0.92.

Kirkland's sees Q4 2014 EPS of $0.77-$0.84, versus the consensus of $0.84.
