MISUMI Group names Dave Evans president of Americas division
MISUMI Group Inc. (Tokyo: 9962) appointed Dave Evans as president of MISUMI Americas, the company announced. Evans will oversee the integration of MISUMI and Fictiv into a unified platform serving manufacturing customers across the Americas.
Evans previously served as co-founder and CEO of Fictiv, a digital manufacturing company that MISUMI acquired in 2025. In his new role, he will continue overseeing Fictiv while leading MISUMI Americas operations.
The appointment follows MISUMI's strategy to combine its configurable components business with Fictiv's digital manufacturing platform. The integrated operation will serve sectors including climate technology, robotics, medical technology, aerospace, and factory automation.
Evans succeeds Nobuyuki Ashida, who led MISUMI USA for the past decade. Ashida will support the transition through February.
MISUMI's digital model business is projected to grow 80% year-over-year to ¥62.1 billion in fiscal 2025, with a target of ¥200 billion by fiscal 2030, according to the press release. The company processes approximately 10,000 CAD files daily through its digital services.
"By expanding our digital model business, investing in AI in the U.S., and integrating Fictiv, we aim to significantly grow this business by 2030," said Ryusei Ono, representative director and president of MISUMI Group Inc.
MISUMI Americas will operate from locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago-Schaumburg area. The company serves more than 323,000 companies globally and processes over 200,000 shipments daily.
The unified platform will offer configurable components, custom part manufacturing, and AI-enabled design services to customers ranging from startups to global original equipment manufacturers.
