JetBlue adds nine new routes from Fort Lauderdale starting November
JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) announced plans to launch nine new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport starting in November, expanding its position as the airport's carrier with the most departures.
The new destinations include Cali, Colombia, which represents a new city for JetBlue's network. Other new routes include Aruba, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, Liberia Costa Rica, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, San Pedro Sula Honduras, and St. Maarten. Most routes begin December 4, 2025, with New Orleans and Pittsburgh service starting November 1, 2025.
The airline will reach 113 daily departures during peak travel periods to 46 nonstop destinations from Fort Lauderdale by December. JetBlue also plans to increase frequency on nine existing routes including Atlanta, Boston, Hartford, San Juan Puerto Rico, CancĂșn Mexico, Kingston Jamaica, Punta Cana Dominican Republic, San JosĂ© Costa Rica, and Santiago Dominican Republic.
Dave Jehn, JetBlue's vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, stated the expansion continues the airline's growth as Fort Lauderdale's top carrier by departures on peak travel days.
The airline announced it will open a dedicated crew base for its premium Mint service in Fort Lauderdale in early 2026 to support the expansion.
JetBlue has added 17 new routes from Fort Lauderdale since the beginning of 2025, including previous announcements for service to Guayaquil Ecuador, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Austin, Norfolk, and Tampa.
To mark the milestone of 113 peak daily flights, JetBlue is offering promotional fares of $113 or less to any nonstop destination from Fort Lauderdale, with booking required by September 10, 2025, for travel between September 24 and December 17, 2025.
