(Nasdaq: SCR) announced today that they have entered into a definitive agreement whereby Penn National will acquire theScore, a leading digital media and sports betting and technology company, for approximately US$2.0 billion in cash and stock.

Eiger BioPharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: EIGR) 6.9% HIGHER; announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for avexitide for the treatment of congenital hyperinsulism (HI).

Western Union (NYSE: WU) 6.2% HIGHER; Goldfinch and Baupost will acquire Western Union Business Solutions for approximately $910 million in cash. reported Q2 EPS of $0.48, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.26 billion.

MercadoLibre (NASDAQ: MELI) 5.8% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.37, $1.26 better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.46 billion. Gross merchandise volume (“GMV”) grew to $7.0 billion, representing an increase of 39.2% in USD and 46.1% on an FX neutral basis.

Uber (NYSE: UBER) 5% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.58, $1.09 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.51). Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.93 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.74 billion.

Cigna Corp. (NYSE: CI) 4.5% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $5.24, $0.28 better than the analyst estimate of $4.96. Revenue for the quarter came in at $43.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $41.31 billion. Cigna Corp. sees FY2021 EPS of at least $20.20, versus the consensus of $20.42.
