MannKind (NASDAQ: MNKD) 20% HIGHER; gains in pre-open but unclear the drive.

DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ: DRYS) 17.5% LOWER; has determined to effect a 1-for-4 reverse stock split of the Company's common shares. At the Company's annual general meeting of shareholders on October 26, 2016, the Company's shareholders approved the reverse stock split and granted the Board, or a duly constituted committee thereof, the authority to determine the exact split ratio and proceed with the reverse stock split.

Codexis, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDXS) 13.2% LOWER; announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 5,500,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $4.00 per share.

Bellerophon Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLPH) 13% LOWER; released clinical data from a poster presented at the 37th Annual Meeting for the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) in San Diego, CA on April 6th. The poster Effects of Ambulatory Inhaled Nitric Oxide on Exercise Induced Increases in Pulmonary Pressures featured data from an investigator led study of INOpulse® in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

C&J Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: CJ) 12.3% LOWER; priced a public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $32.50 per share.

Diana Shipping (NYSE: DSX) 7.2% HIGHER; JPMorgan upgraded from Neutral to Overweight.

Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: AUPH) 6.8% HIGHER; announced the outcome of discussions with both the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) in Japan regarding the development of voclosporin for the treatment of active lupus nephritis (LN). Pursuant to these discussions, the Company believes that the confirmatory data that can be generated from the single Phase III clinical trial (AURORA) and the recently completed AURA-LV (AURA) Phase IIb study should support regulatory submissions in the US, Europe and Japan.

NeoPhotonics Corporation (NYSE: NPTN) 6.3% LOWER; announced that Ray Wallin, Chief Financial Officer, will resign from his position effective May 15, 2017 and will remain as a consultant to the Company for a three-month transition period. Mr. Wallin has served as the CFO of NeoPhotonics since December 2013.

Twilio (NYSE: TWLO) 5.8% HIGHER; JPMorgan upgraded from Neutral to Overweight, price target $36.00

Ryerson Holding Corporation (NYSE: RYI) 5.7% HIGHER; provided guidance for its first quarter ending March 31, 2017. The Company anticipates higher revenue for the first quarter of 2017 compared to the fourth quarter of 2016 and the first quarter of 2016 with higher average selling prices and higher tons sold for the current quarter as compared to both periods. The Company expects first quarter 2017 net income attributable to Ryerson Holding Corporation in the range of $12 million to $15 million, which includes a range of $2 million of LIFO expense, net to $2 million of LIFO income, net. Adjusted EBITDA, excluding LIFO is expected to be in the range of $53 million to $55 million for the first quarter of 2017. Ryerson reported first quarter 2016 net income attributable to Ryerson Holding Corporation of $14 million, which included LIFO income, net of $15 million. Adjusted EBITDA, excluding LIFO was $37 million in the first quarter of 2016. A reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA, excluding LIFO to net income attributable to Ryerson Holding Corporation is included below in this news release.

VEON Ltd. (Nasdaq: VEON) 4.8% LOWER; Telenor ASA today announced that it has commenced an offering of 70 million of its common shares in VEON Ltd. (Nasdaq: VEON) (formerly known as VimpelCom Ltd.) in the form of common shares listed in Euronext Amsterdam and American Depository Shares (ADSs) listed on NASDAQ under the ticker “VEON”. Each ADS represents one VEON common share.

Ruby Tuesday (NYSE: RT) 3.9% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.06), versus $0.03 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $225.7 million, versus $271.5 million reported last year. Same-restaurant sales declined 4.0% compared to a 3.1% decrease in the third quarter of the prior fiscal year.

WD-40 Co. (NASDAQ: WDFC) 3.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.87, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.90. Revenue for the quarter came in at $96.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $99.79 million. GUIDANCE: WD-40 Co. sees FY2017 EPS of $3.64-$3.71, versus the consensus of $3.64.

Oclaro Inc. (NASDAQ: OCLR) 3.1% HIGHER; will replace United Bankshares in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open on Wednesday, April 12.

PriceSmart (NASDAQ: PSMT) 1% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.90, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.92. Revenue for the quarter came in at $772.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $794.37 million.
