After-hours movers: NVIDIA explodes higher on massive guidance hike, Snowflake falls on disappointing results

After-Hours Stock Movers:
NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) 22% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $1.09, $0.17 better than the analyst estimate of $0.92. Revenue for the quarter came in at $7.19 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.52 billion. NVIDIA sees Q2 2024 revenue of $11 billion, versus the consensus of $7.15 billion.
American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO) 16% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.17, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.07 billion. For the second quarter, management’s outlook reflects revenue down low-single digits to last year with operating income in the range of $25 to $35 million. This assumes gross margin recovery year-over-year as the company cycles pressure from end of season sell-offs and elevated freight costs. SG&A is expected to increase in the low-to-mid-single digits. Depreciation is expected to be similar to the first quarter.
For the year, management expects revenue in the range of flat to down low-single digits to last year with operating income in the range of $250 to $270 million.
Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX) 15% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.04, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $448.58 million versus the consensus estimate of $433.12 million. Nutanix sees Q4 2023 revenue of $470-480 million, versus the consensus of $452.24 million. Nutanix sees FY2023 revenue of $1.84-1.85 billion, versus the consensus of $1.8 billion.
Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW) 11% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.15, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $623.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $611.13 million.
e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. (NYSE: ELF) 10% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.42, $0.22 better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $187.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $156.14 million. e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. sees FY2024 EPS of $1.73-$1.76, versus the consensus of $1.64. e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. sees FY2024 revenue of $705-720 million, versus the consensus of $637.7 million.
Splunk (NASDAQ: SPLK) 9% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.18, $0.32 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.14). Revenue for the quarter came in at $752 million versus the consensus estimate of $722.99 million. Splunk sees Q2 2024 revenue of $880-895 million, versus the consensus of $868 million.
