Item 8.01. Other Events.

 

On April 8, 2021, the judge in the case, Well Thrive Ltd. vs. SemiLEDs Corporation, issued a ruling requiring the Company to pay pre-judgment interest in the amount of $123,000 to Well Thrive. As reported in the Company’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended February 28, 2021, the Company filed a notice of appeal from the judgment ordering the Company to return the $500,000 deposit to Well Thrive.  The Company expects to record the interest award as a current liability in its quarter ending May 31, 2021.
