Item 8.01 Other Events.

On February 22, 2024, SeaStar Medical Holding Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted to the Company a Humanitarian Device Exemption Approval Order to the Selective Cytopheretic Device Pediatric for use in children weighing 10 kilograms or more with acute kidney injury and sepsis or with a septic condition on continuous kidney replacement therapy in the hospital intensive care unit.
