Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 20, 2023, Starbucks Corporation (the “Company”) announced that Laxman Narasimhan has assumed the role of chief executive officer, effective March 20, 2023. In connection with Mr. Narasimhan’s assumption of the chief executive officer role, Howard Schultz will transition from the role of interim chief executive officer. Mr. Schultz will remain as a member of the Starbucks board of directors.

A copy of the press release announcing the appointment of Mr. Narasimhan as chief executive officer is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
