EU privacy regulators have ruled that Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) shouldn't require users to agree to personalized ads based on online activity, according to a report from Dow Jones, citing people famialri with the decision.
A board representing EU privacy regulators approved a series of decisions ruling that EU privacy law doesn't allow Meta's Instagram and Facebook to use terms of service as a justification for allowing such advertiser, the report said.
