VENTURA, Calif., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- iRent, the premier rental property marketplace for commercial and residential real estate, announced today the launch of its beta platform. iRent is a map-based rental property search engine, with powerful filtering capabilities and an immersive user experience.

Based in Ventura, California, iRent is a veteran-owned company and the brainchild of its Founder and CEO Matthew B. Foster.

"iRent is more than just another rental listing site, we are building a whole product," stated Foster. "At its core, iRent is a competitive marketplace focused on reducing vacancies through fluid transactions and rapid lead generation. This is a huge opportunity and we have every reason to believe that with our strategy, we are taking a novel approach to solving marketplace dynamics."

iRent is the first-to-market rental property search engine featuring both residential and commercial properties. iRent is a completely free product, allowing anyone to sign up and list or search rental properties. Users can securely message through an anonymous iRent email address or from their favorite email client. iRent is easy to use, with a streamlined user interface, creating a simplified, immersive experience. Properties listed through iRent are processed and published faster than the leading rental property search engine.

"The prospect of influencing an entire market, and eventually creating a fundamental change in the way people rent long-term properties, is exciting," said Foster. "This launch represents an important milestone in our development roadmap, we are expecting this to be a big year as we continue to develop and roll-out our product."

Earlier in his career, Matthew Foster served in Army Special Ops and Military Intelligence, exiting at the rank of Captain. After his service, Mr. Foster built a successful corporate housing company, growing that business to revenues of over 5 million in five years. Under the Privatization of Army Lodging program, the Federal Government awarded a sole-sourced, no bid, 50-year contract to a foreign company, which resulted in Mr. Foster pivoting his successful corporate housing business into iRent.
