The company added Jennifer Skjellum as director of blockchain and crypto innovation to head its new Chattanooga, Tenn. location and to oversee these efforts.

Skjellum will focus on new markets and opportunities to bring blockchain applications to businesses that are interested in taking advantage of the disruptive innovation blockchain technology has to offer.

CEO David Brasfield said that Skjellum's experience as a startup founder and her technology background make her a strategic addition to the team and instrumental in ThreatAdvice's success in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. "Jennifer's experience building products in new and emerging technologies dating back to the mid 90's underscores her ability to immediately add value to ThreatAdvice as we explore innovative blockchain applications in a market that is rapidly developing and growing," he said.

Skjellum's 25-year career includes experience founding and growing tech companies, building educational programs for undergraduates and professionals and leading tech organizations. She most recently served as the president of TechBirmingham, a nonprofit focused on the creation, promotion and growth of the tech ecosystem in the Birmingham region. Skjellum co-founded her first software company in 1996 in the high performance and parallel computing space, which was soon acquired by a San Diego based blade server and storage solution provider, Verari Systems, Inc.
