Honoring American Travelers’ Favorite Restaurants in China

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- China’s top restauranteurs, chefs and sommeliers will gather together in Beverly Hills on December 17, 2017, to celebrate the Global Cuisine Awards, presented by the American Food Association. Voting, which officially began on October 22, will determine American travelers’ favorite restaurants in China. The awards day will begin with the 2nd annual Sino-U.S. Cultural Industry Summit presented by Global Talents Media Group. The Summit provides a platform for communication and collaboration with United States-based businesses by building a bridge between government and corporations

The theme of this year’s summit is “China + The United States of America, The Future of the Culinary Industry.” In partnership with the American Food Association, the daytime event will discuss culinary industry trends and opportunities as well as feature a variety of speakers and panel discussions. The Sino-U.S. Cultural Industry Summit plays an intricate role in promoting the development of China and U.S. relations by creating synergy between the two cultures.

That evening over 250 guests and nominees will gather at the Beverly Hilton to honor the Chinese culture’s 10 different cuisines, 8 great regions and 12 types of foreign cuisine as well as specialty areas including best in service and creativity. Chosen from 300 different restaurants, 39 awards in 4 categories will be handed out to China’s best. This year’s award ceremony, which celebrates the top choices in authentic and traditional cuisines, is chosen by Americans who have traveled to China within the last 6 months and a curated list of 30 culinary food writers and critics. The mission behind the 2018 Global Cuisine Awards is to seek out culinary excellence with a focus on consumer experience coupled with expert panel evaluations.
