They are competing, under the aegis of Youth America Grand Prix, for scholarships and the opportunity to join leading ballet and modern dance companies including American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Houston Ballet, among many others. A week of rehearsals and auditions in venues across New York City from NYU to Lincoln Center culminates in dramatic final performances at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Quin guests can elect to experience the excitement of Youth America Grand Prix "Finals Week" from April 10-14, in which 1,200 of the world's most promising dancers audition for more than 30 leading dance schools and companies, and participate in master classes and workshops at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, a state-of-the-art 850 seat venue. They offer a critical access point for aspiring dancers, while offering a life-changing opportunity for students to gain admission and financial assistance to the most prestigious dance schools and companies.

On April 15, "The Final Round" culminates with a select number of the most promising dancers performing their variations at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center at 7:00 pm. The Final Round showcases the most promising students performing one last time before scholarships are awarded, and they leave to continue training or pursue jobs at the world's leading dance institutions.

On April 16, at 6:30 pm, The David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center plays host to the "Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala." Hailed as "the highlight of the New York ballet season," by the late Clive Barnes of the New York Post, YAGP presents a night of thrilling performances by leading dancers from the world's most prominent companies (Stars of Today -- many of whom are YAGP alumni) alongside 2015 finalists (Stars of Tomorrow). The evening will feature the world premiere of Minuet in D Minor with choreography by Emery LeCrone, in addition to the New York premiere of Windy Sand with choreography by Alexei Kremnev, featuring an original score by Karen LeFrak and costumes designed by B Michael.

On Friday, April 17, at 7:00 pm, David Hallberg presents, "Legacy" at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. This spectacular evening of dance offers an intimate look at some of the world's most renowned ballet companies performing varied and rarely-seen contemporary works representative of each world-famous institution, many never seen in NYC. Celebrated international ballet star, David Hallberg, offers an intimate look at the world-renowned ballet companies that he has been most closely affiliated with, as they perform varied and rarely-seen contemporary works, representative of each preeminent institution. Hallberg will introduce each company and share an insider's perspective on the works and the institutions that have left an indelible impression on him as an artist. The program will include performances by dancers from The Mariinsky Ballet, The Bolshoi Ballet, The Australian Ballet, and the Tokyo Ballet in its the U.S. Debut. It will also feature a commissioned piece by Pontus Lidberg specifically for American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, where at 18 years old, Hallberg first started his career.
