Mogl Launches New Online to Offline Ad Platform called Empyr, creating a new revenue stream for offline businesses and online companies

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 08, 2015

Mogl announced the official launch of their new Online to Offline ad platform, Empyr, which can track an online advertisement to an offline purchase using any debit or credit card in real-time. The Empyr platform provides websites and apps with a new revenue stream from offline commerce, while guaranteeing ROI for offline businesses when advertising online.

The new platform enables offline businesses (advertisers), such as restaurants, retail, grocery, etc. to advertise on websites and apps and only pay when a sale happens at their offline store. This is how Mogl guarantees the ROI with Empyr. After six months in private beta, the new platform now includes Microsoft®, LivingSocial®, HawaiianAirlines® and over 30 other publishers where offline businesses can get exposure to millions of consumers on a pay-per-sale basis.

For websites and apps (publishers) with a consumer audience, Empyr represents a new revenue stream. It enables publishers to give offline offers to their consumers, such as 15% cash back at a local restaurant. The publisher makes a percent of every sale made at a participating offline business by their consumers. There are already thousands of offline business offers already on the platform, representing a new and immediate monetization strategy for any website or app that caters to consumers.

According to a recent study by the US Chamber of Commerce, 93% of commerce (over $4 trillion dollars annually) is done offline, with almost none of it being easily attributed back to online marketing. This represents one of the largest, underserved opportunities on the Internet today. Empyr's mission is to help offline advertisers and online publishers connect in a frictionless and profitable way. While Mogl is constantly adding more advertisers daily through their own sales efforts, their open network makes it easy for anyone to add offers, or consumers, anytime.

Mogl CEO and Co-Founder Jon Carder stated, "There have been hundreds of attempts over the past decade to try to connect the online world to offline commerce. The challenge of online to offline commerce is friction. There is usually too much friction for the offline business, such as training staff or installing equipment, and too much friction for the consumer such as downloading an app or showing a coupon. With the new Empyr platform there is zero friction; consumers simply pay with a linked debit or credit card like they normally do. We've built a way to track the purchase without requiring anyone to do anything new."

Mogl originally built the card-tracking technology for their mobile app which helped users receive cash-back at local restaurants. Soon after, the app became the fastest growing restaurant rewards program on the West Coast offering instant cash back for consumers. After four years of perfecting the card-tracking technology for the Mogl app, it became increasingly clear that the ability to track debit and credit cards could close the loop between online and offline commerce.

The launch of the Empyr online to offline ad platform represents the expansion outside of restaurants and into all industries, allowing companies, websites and apps to leverage their technology to connect the online world to the offline world seamlessly.

After four years of perfecting the card-tracking technology for the Mogl app, it became increasingly clear that the ability to track debit and credit cards could close the loop between online and offline commerce. In late 2015, the technology was opened up to apps and websites seeking to leverage Empyr's industry leading technology and partnerships. Today, the Empyr platform is used by some of the largest websites and apps to monetize online to offline commerce. Through these partnerships, the network has access to tens of millions of consumers and tens of thousands of merchants participating.
