LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hatched, a nationally-syndicated TV series where budding entrepreneurs pitch their brands to a panel of business and retail moguls is coming back for a second season with new experts, innovative companies and a new show format. Serial entrepreneurs and investors, Courtney and Carter Reum, will lead the panel this season.

"We love helping companies go from a small idea to a large, profitable company," says Courtney Reum, who left Goldman Sachs to launch his own company, which was acquired last year.

Courtney's brother, Carter, echoed Courtney, "Hatched is not just about discovering the next 'big thing,' but playing a formative role in growing the next big consumer brand. Prior to Hatched, shows have failed to capitalize on the opportunity to scale these businesses after they appear on-air, but we see this as the opportunity and think the entrepreneurs who appear on an episode will feel the same!"

M13, Carter and Courtney's new brand development company is just one of the new partners this season. New to Season 2 are Dara Trujillo of the Home Shopping Network (HSN), Victor Green and Steve Seigel, prolific investors who will go undercover and surprise the entrepreneurs in the hopes of unlocking once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to scale their businesses.

Each episode will feature a prominent guest mentor – from successful entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 CEOs to celebrity investors. Unlike other shows, Hatched focuses on one brand in an exciting new category as the entrepreneur pitches their products to mentors before testing them at the retail pop-up challenge. Mentors analyze consumer feedback and contestants return for a final discussion on the products' potential for investment, popularity and growth.

Season 1 led to critical and commercial success with the winning of a Telly and Parent's Choice award, and the successful placement of companies into leading retailers including Walmart and Kroger.

"We hope to continue to leverage the power of TV media to help the next generation of great American entrepreneurs break into retail and see their dreams become successes before the audiences eyes," says Anthony Samadani, Executive Producer and Creator.

Hatched is created by Mark Koops, Anthony Samadani and Andrew Kavovit and produced by INE Entertainment's Mark Koops, Eric Day and Sheva Mokarram. Season 2 will feature names from Inc.com, Thrive Market Place and Vogue as well as celebrity investor Lance Bass.

About HatchedAiring September 17th on Fox Network affiliates and My Network stations, HATCHED celebrates entrepreneurship and product innovation providing entrepreneurs a rare opportunity of a lifetime to share their brand story with viewers. Hatched is a full-fledged platform accelerating consumer-facing business through the support of M13, an investment and brand development company, and a host of other partners.

Carter & Courtney Reum Carter and Courtney launched their careers at Goldman Sachs. Leaving investment banking with an idea to create "a better way to drink," the Reums built VEEV Spirit, a 70 proof vodka alternative, from that idea into one of the pioneering artisanal alcohol brands in the spirits industry, helping to popularize the açaí berry in the United States and into one of the fastest growing independent spirit brands in the country. While growing VEEV, the brothers began investing in other companies providing first hand experience, guidance and capitalization to many emerging businesses. Early investments include Bonobos, Birchbox, Warby Parker, Pinterest, Lyft, Krave Jerky, Kevita, and numerous others. In 2016, Carter and Courtney sold a majority stake of VEEV Spirits to a larger company allowing them to found M13 and focus on their entrepreneurial stewardship of consumer brands.
