Cat Anders, a longtime writer who is well-traveled and lives in the Appalachians, has completed her new book "Kate Haggis and Khenvairc Drakes: Pocketful of Existence Series, Book 6": a gripping and potent fantasy about a bard rescuing an important person in her life.
"This book is especially dedicated to Shiva Harmon whom whilst some of the monsters were being developed, helped me scare her stupidly and endlessly by one word. Thanks Shiva, you are, one of my best supports to my creations," dedicates author Cat Anders. "For my family, and especially my son, Aiben. Also to all the fans out there, that clamored on social media, for this story to come out and soon. Enjoy!"
Published by Page Publishing, Cat Anders' enchanting tale follows Kate Haggis, a bard, at least in title. Kate is left behind in Leafeldur DorDinen's compound, along with Tagolan Greenleaf, to run his household smoothly while he selfishly goes to rebuild another town in his fiefdom, wanting to go back to the glory days of his clan.
While the mage and his ranger friend are out doing their work, Kate is paid an unusual visit by a paladin, who informs her that Robert Trellawny, her adoptive father, is currently being held captive by a renegade group of terrorists under the leadership of a vile man called Shaolgris in a different pocketful of existence known as Khenvairc. Kate agrees to rescue the old healer, of whom she is very fond. She takes off with the paladin and finds herself trapped by his lies. He does not want her help but plans something much more nefarious for her personage.
In Khenvairc, she crosses the path of the race previously thought of as extinct, along with drakes, and inadvertently starts off a war between Shaolgris and those who are hot in pursuit of the bard. As she races against time and all the odds, she must make it in time to rescue Robert before he is executed and pay the price for her humanity, if need be.
Readers who wish to experience this gripping work can purchase "Kate Haggis and Khenvairc Drakes: Pocketful of Existence Series, Book 6" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
