Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ: WBA) has been exploring a deal with buyout firms to go private, Reuters reported citing people familiar with the matter.
The company held preliminary talks with some of the world's largest private equity firms in recent months, the report added.
The company is working with investment bank Evercore Partners on the matter.
