Teradata Corp. (TDC) 'Unequivocally' Not Exploring a Sale - Statement

Shares of Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC) rose Wednesday on speculation the company might be for sale after 'change of control' language in an 8-K filing Tuesday was highlighted by analysts. However, the company is "unequivocally not exploring a sale," a spokesperson told StreetInsider.com.
The language analysts were pointing to was related to interim CEO Vic Lund’s, who recently was appointed to replace Oliver Ratzesberger.
Gordon Haskett’s analyst Don Bilson said the filling was notable because when Lund was CEO previously, it appears that he didn’t participate in the change of control plan. Mr. Lund previously served as the President and CEO of Teradata from May 2016 until his appointment as Executive Chairman in January 2019,
