Carl Icahn has taken a stake in HP, Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) and is pushing for a merger with Xerox Corp. (NYSE: XRX), which he also has a large stake in, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The two companies recently confirmed talks have been held over the past few months, with Xerox most recently making an offer to acquire HP for around $22 per share in cash and stock.
