Wex, Inc. (WEX) Tops Q1 EPS by 8c, Beats on Revenues; FY18 EPS/Revenue Outlook Above Consensus

Wex, Inc. (NYSE: WEX) reported Q1 EPS of $1.81, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $1.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $354.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $340 million.

Financial Guidance and Assumptions

The Company provides revenue guidance on a GAAP basis and earnings guidance on a non-GAAP basis, due to the uncertainty and an indeterminate amount of certain elements that are included in reported GAAP earnings.

For the full year 2018, the Company expects revenue in the range of $1.435 billion to $1.475 billion and adjusted net income in the range of $337 million to $355 million, or $7.75 to $8.15 per diluted share.
For the second quarter of 2018, WEX expects revenue in the range of $357 million to $367 million and adjusted net income in the range of $85 million to $90 million, or $1.96 to $2.06 per diluted share.

GUIDANCE:

Wex, Inc. sees FY2018 EPS of $7.75-$8.15, versus the consensus of $7.63. Wex, Inc. sees FY2018 revenue of $1.435-1.475 billion, versus the consensus of $1.43 billion.
