United Natural Foods (NASDAQ: UNFI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.16 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter came in at $6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.8 billion.
First Quarter Fiscal 2020 Highlights
- Net Sales Increased to $6.0 billion, including an incremental $3.1 billion from SUPERVALU
- Re-affirms guidance for full year net sales, Adjusted EPS, and Adjusted EBITDA
- Balance sheet reflects addition of approximately $1 billion in operating lease assets and liabilities as UNFI adopts new lease accounting standard (ASC 842)
- GAAP results reflect non-cash goodwill and asset impairment charge

United Natural Foods sees FY2020 EPS of $1.22-$1.76, versus the consensus of $1.38. United Natural Foods sees FY2020 revenue of $23.5-24.3 billion, versus the consensus of $23.84 billion.
