Strayer Education, Inc. (STRA) Tops Q3 EPS by 13c; Authorizes $100M Buyback; Guides Q4, FY11 EPS Higher; to Hike Tuition 3%

Strayer Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA) reported Q3 EPS of $1.20, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of $1.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $135.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $139.4 million.

Strayer Education, Inc. sees Q4 2011 EPS of $2.24-$2.26, versus the consensus of $2.02.

Strayer Education, Inc. sees FY2011 EPS of $8.82-$8.84, versus the consensus of $8.47.

The Company announced today that the Company's Board of Directors amended the share repurchase program to authorize the repurchase of up to $100 million in value of the Company's common stock over the next 14 months.

The Company announced today that Strayer University is implementing a 3% tuition increase effective January 2012, and that the University intends to open eight new campuses in 2012.
