O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY) Tops Q4 EPS by 27c, Revenues Beat; Offers FY21 Revenue Mid-Point Guidance Below Consensus

O'Reilly Automotive (NASDAQ: ORLY) reported Q4 EPS of $5.40, $0.27 better than the analyst estimate of $5.13. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.83 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.78 billion.

  • Fourth quarter comparable store sales increase of 11.2%, full-year increase of 10.9%
  • 27% increase in fourth quarter diluted earnings per share to $5.40, full-year increase of 32% to $23.53

GUIDANCE:

O'Reilly Automotive sees FY2021 revenue of $11.5-11.8 billion, versus the consensus of $11.75 billion.

  • The Company is reinstituting its practice of providing selected full-year guidance for 2021. The Company still anticipates potentially significant volatility in its results, driven by the ongoing uncertainty related to the pandemic, and will update full-year guidance during 2021, as appropriate.
