Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Chief Elon Musk took to twitter to respond to criticism after a vehicle operating without anyone in the driver's seat crashed into a tree on Saturday near Houston, killing two occupants.

Musk said so far data logs recovered from the crash show Autopilot was not enabled. He also pointed out that the owner of the car did not purchase full self driving software.
