Ciena (CIEN) Tops Q1 EPS by 7c, Revenues Beat

Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) reported Q1 EPS of $0.52, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $757.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $749.55 million.

• Q1 Net Income per Share: $0.35 GAAP; $0.52 adjusted (non-GAAP)
• Share Repurchases: Repurchased approximately 0.3 million shares of common stock for an aggregate price of $13.2 million during the quarter
