Innovative real estate enterprise and builder hires experienced public affairs professional to expand and strengthen its relationships in California state government and the business community
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, has announced it hired Joshua Englander as the Senior Director of External Affairs in the West Region. Mr. Englander will be responsible for building and expanding key relationships in California state government, local government, and the business community to strengthen Suffolk’s role as a policy leader on issues critical to construction, real estate and development.

Prior to joining Suffolk, Mr. Englander was the Associate Vice President and West and Northwest Government Relations Director at HNTB Corporation, where he worked with government officials to promote strategic plans across 13 states in the Western United States. Prior to his position with the HTNB Corporation, he served as the Federal Affairs Representative for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority where he advocated for Metro Board-approved federal policy with Congress and the administration as the sole Washington, D.C.-based representative.
Mr. Englander holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis and a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University.
