Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Appoints Michael Housey to Executive Vice President, General Manager, Indiana

MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer's)—the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced that it has appointed Michael Housey to the role of Executive Vice President, General Manager, Indiana, effective October 24, 2022.

Mr. Housey, who will report to Mike McLaughlin, President, Central Region, will be responsible for leading all sales activities in the Indiana market, including but not limited to developing short and long-term strategic planning, establishing sales policies and procedures, introducing new products, and ensuring that training objectives are achieved for all employees.

Mr. Housey has been a part of the Southern Glazer’s team for 11 years, beginning as Vice President, General Manager, Michigan. In his most recent role, Mr. Housey served as Vice President, General Sales Manager, Illinois for seven years. Prior to his time at Southern Glazer’s, Mr. Housey worked in various roles of increasing responsibility at E&J Gallo, Diageo, and National Wine & Spirits.

Mr. Housey will work closely with his successor to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
