Becoming an RBA Member Showcases Renesas’ Commitment to Operate to the Highest Ethical and Social Standards
TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced it has joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 committed to supporting the rights and well-being of workers and communities worldwide affected by global supply chains. By joining the RBA, Renesas will fully support the vision and goals of the RBA to ensure that its manufacturing processes are environmentally responsible and that its workers are treated with respect and dignity.
As a member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), Renesas fully supports the vision and goals of the RBA:
A coalition of companies driving sustainable value for workers, the environment and business throughout the global supply chain.
Members, suppliers and stakeholders collaborate to improve working and environmental conditions and business performance through leading standards and practices.
The RBA provides a Code of Conduct, which is a set of social, environmental and ethical industry standards. The standards set out in the Code of Conduct reference international norms and standards including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO International Labor Standards, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, ISO and SA standards.
