Ramirez to Participate in SIFMA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Leadership Summit

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Samuel A. Ramirez & Company, Inc. announced today that Senior Managing Director Samuel A. Ramirez Jr. will speak on a panel about the importance of building diverse teams and including diverse firms as part of a two-day virtual event hosted by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) issues facing the capital markets industry.

SIFMA’s virtual DEI summit, Building Momentum in a New Era, which is being held on June 16 and 17, 2021, will bring together industry leaders from across the capital markets to discuss how DEI impacts today's workforce and how DEI contributes to improved client service. Registration is required to attend.

Beginning at 11:15 a.m. E.T. on June 16, Sam Ramirez Jr. will participate in an hour-long panel discussion, “Industry Leaders Perspective: Building the Talent Pipeline,” with other members of SIFMA’s Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. The SIFMA Board of Directors established the Task Force to highlight the overarching importance of DEI to SIFMA and its members.

Mr. Ramirez will be joined by Gary Hall, Partner and Head of Investment Banking at Siebert Williams Shank & Co.; Peter W. Schneider, President, Primerica; and Nomita Chopra Singh, Managing Director, Credit Suisse. Phillip P. Anderson, Executive Director of Diversity & Inclusion and CSR Diverse Talent Management & Advancement at DTCC, will moderate the panel.
