TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- With thousands of vital child care, school board and university workers still unable to obtain vaccinations to protect themselves from COVID-19, leaders from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), who represent workers in those sectors, will tomorrow hold a virtual news conference to call for action from the Ford Government to protect more of the people whose work exposes them to the virus.

Laura Walton, President of CUPE’s Ontario School Board Council of Unions (OSBCU), Carrie Lynn Poole-Cotnam, Chair of the Social Service Workers Coordinating Committee (SSWCC), and David Simao, Chair of the Ontario University Workers’ Coordinating Committee (OUWCC), will be joined tomorrow by CUPE Ontario Secretary-Treasurer Candace Rennick for a news conference, which will take place at 11 a.m. on the Zoom video conferencing platform.
