JPMorgan analyst Ryan Brinkman raised the price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) to $220.00 (from $200.00) while maintaining a Underweight rating on the concern that this is not the breakout quarter claimed by the bulls.

The analyst stated "Operating expense tracked legitimately less, at $930 mn vs. JPM $975 mn and consensus $1,057 mn (providing a +$127 mn source of beat relative to consensus), perhaps owing to savvy thrifting or perhaps to unsustainable reductions to growth-related expenses, or to some combination of both".
