Shares of Limited Brands Inc. (NYSE: LTD) are trading down roughly 0.6 percent Wednesday ahead of the release of its fourth-quarter results after the closing bell.

The Wall Street quarterly consensus for Limited Brands is $1.46 per share in earnings on $3.46 billion in revenue. During the fourth quarter of last year, the company reported earnings of $1.26 per share on $3.46 billion in total sales. The company’s guidance calls for earnings of $1.42-$1.46 per share.

For the full year 2011, analysts on the Street are currently estimating earning of $2.56 per share on $10.32 billion in total sales.

The fourth quarter conference call is scheduled for 9:00 am ET on February 23, 2012.

According to data from Bloomberg, shares of Limited Brands Inc. have twelve Buy ratings, twelve Hold ratings and one Sell rating. The average price target on shares of LTD is $46 with a range from $39 to $55.

Analyst Comments:

  • Collins Stewart is maintaining its Neutral rating and $43 price target on the company going into the release as it forecasts earnings will be at the top end of the company’s guidance and inline with the consensus.

  • On January 30, an analyst at JPMorgan commented, "We continue to believe that LTD is coming into 2012 with solid momentum and could be set for another year of impressive results."

    The firm is reaffirming its Overweight rating on the stock as it forecasts the company’s Victory Secret line will continue to outperform.
