Nomura Securities downgraded Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) from Buy to Neutral with a price target of $32. Data yesterday pointed to an 11 to 14 percent decline in Q1 PC sales. This coupled with the stock's recent run above $30 per share has analyst Rick Sherlund moving to the sidelines.

"The combination of Windows 8's sluggish adoption and the absence of compelling new hardware have been disappointing, with no relief likely until later this year," said Sherlund.

Despite the downgrade, Nomura still thinks the stock is attractively price for "value-oriented" investors.
