Why it is up. This stock should be higher as JP morgan values it at US$42. Nasdaq at US$30. It is set to give US$0.50/share per quarter for next year and earning reports are due in early January. I am sure we will soon hear that the company is not part of a take overbid as an means to lower the stock. I don't think buyers will care, the company has enough good things going for it to be a good buy.

Ok..I'll play along... If STEC isn't headed for $11, then why did the CEO and COO dump >70% of their holdings last month? Enterprise SSDs demonstrate NO return-on-investment for customers until cost/GB drops to 5x that of enterprise HDD, but STEC sells for 150X cost of HDD. Hey STEC investors...have any of you actually seen an ROI analysis of SSD vs. HDD -- one that supports STEC $20,000.00 AUPs and resulting ridiculous market cap? STEC = ISLN

Additional STEC shares The additional shares were already issued and are not "new" shares, so they are not dillutive to earnings. It actually should be viewed as a positive development becuase it increases the float. Further more, the 2 founders, who are equally selling the shares still retain over 20% of the company vs 32% before the sale. Diversification applies to billionaires just like it does to thousandaires. ;)
