at 07:46 PM never should have stopped The dividends on USWest stock was paid yearly until Qwest came into the picture. Qwest has not been good for the thousands of devoted USWEST employees referred to in the beginning as classic USWest. Not only did they take away the dividends, but many many other benefits. They raped the management team and the retired managers. They started having to pay medical, reduced their SET Life Insurance (based on yearly income at retirement). This year they continue to take away from their retirees, taking away the medicare return money. There has been absolute no Cost of Living increase for the retirees drawing a monthly pension. The share values went from up in the $50+ per-share to less than $3.00 a share as of today. Wish the CEO and The Board of Directors had to live with these conditions they put on good faithful employees that made USWest into the company that Qwest wanted and brought. To bad they don't know how to hire smart people with knowledge on how to run a business without it being the retirees getting hit the most for their non business sense. It is not fair to these decent retired ex USWest employees.

at 04:37 PM Necessity of change! Necessity of change! Chairmen and CEOs alike are more likely to bring in their own Sr. or Top-level management then to guess and chance future problematic issues that they (may/will) be held accountable for. What does this mean for the average American? Not much at first glance but in many ways it allows the doors to be open and the public to take notice that Corporate America has leaders who want to stand tall and will not take a chance with previous management and the direction that they once were heading. These leaders are looking to fill their most sacred positions with like-minded, ethical business building out of the box thinkers who have a high integrity level. Now with that being said, no one is saying that the previous ousted Executive mangers are not of that nature, but in todays world the Chairmen and CEOs do not have the luxury to sit back and wait and see. In these times of economic uncertainty, major Corporations need to seek out the best of the best and get a bead on their target. As the Leaders of their respective business, they want to be judged on their accomplishments and with that comes dealing with every facet of their business. These important factors that so many over-look can be brought forth by their board of directors, employees or Mrs. Jones, a consumer half way across the world. In a World that appears to be spinning faster and faster each and every day, it is important to have 100% trust in those you surround yourself with (Corporate Team) making sure that their visions coincide with that of those whos reputations are on the line.
