(Reuters) - Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc (NYSE: DPS) is in talks to acquire Bai Brands LLC, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, a move that would break its track record of only investing small stakes in growth drinks brands.
The talks come after Reuters reported on Oct. 3 that Bai was exploring a sale, sending Dr Pepper Snapple shares lower on concerns that its distribution of Bai would be jeopardized if sold to a rival such as Coca-Cola Co (NYSE: KO)... More
Coca-Cola speeds up efforts to cut sugar in drinks

(Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co (NYSE: KO) reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit, and said it would step up efforts to reduce sugar in its beverages, amid growing pressure from health experts and governments who have blamed sugary drinks for a rise in obesity.
The company's move comes after rival PepsiCo Inc (NYSE: PEP) announced plans to reduce sugar in its drinks last week.

October 26, 2016 6:57 AM EDTCoca Cola (NYSE: KO) reported Q3 EPS of $0.49, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.48. Revenue for the quarter came in at $10.6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $10.54 billion.
