October 25, 2016 4:10 PM EDTMCKINNEY, Texas, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Torchmark Corporation (NYSE: TMK) reported today that for the quarter ended September 30, 2016, net income was $1.25 per diluted common share, compared with $1.15 per diluted common share for the year-ago quarter. Net operating income from continuing operations for the quarter was $1.15 per diluted common share, compared with $1.03 per diluted common share for the year-ago quarter. Â
