Sunshine Heart Announces Strategic Acquisition of Aquadex Product Line from Baxter and a new credit facility with Silicon Valley Bank

(NASDAQ: SSH) announced it has acquired the Aquadex product line from an indirect subsidiary of Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX), a global leader in the hospital products and dialysis markets. The Aquadex system is indicated for temporary (up to eight hours) ultrafiltration treatment of patients with fluid overload who have failed diuretic therapy, and extended (longer than 8 hours) ultrafiltration treatment of patients with fluid overload who have failed diuretic therapy and require hospitalization.
