Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is getting a big customer across the Pacific.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung said it would switch to Microsoft Word for its office needs. The company has been using JungUm Global since 1994.
Phaseout of JungUm Global will begin with Samsung Electronics and progress through the rest of th company.
In a release issued Monday night, Samsung said, Since MS Word supports almost all operating systems, such as Windows, Android and Linux, our staff can also work in a smart manner through PC, smartphones, and tablets.
Shares of Microsoft are positive early.
