Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) CEO Satya Nadella will be visiting China in late September as China's government conducts an investigation into the software giant.
Reuters reported Thursday that it wasn't clear whether Nadella would meet with officials in China during his visit or try and resolve issues with the China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), the country's antitrust regulatory body.
China's SAIC initiated a probe earlier this month over whether or not Microsoft broke anti-monopoly laws regarding compatibility, bundling , and document authentication for Windows and Office.
Shares of Microsoft are lower early.
