A.O. Smith Corp. (AOS) Tops Q2 EPS by 6c; Issues Solid Outlook

A.O. Smith Corp. (NYSE: AOS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.66, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter came in at $595.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $597.97 million.

A.O. Smith Corp. sees FY2014 EPS of $2.34-$2.40, versus the consensus of $2.34.

A.O. Smith Corp. upped FY2015 EPS to $2.60, versus the consensus of $2.64.

"A. O. Smith enjoyed excellent performance in the second quarter thanks to strong contributions from our China business, with sales up 17 percent and operating profit up significantly in the quarter ," Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ajita G. Rajendra observed. "Our U. S. water heater and boiler sales continue to drive our domestic growth."
