J.M. Smucker Co. (SJM) Raises Quarterly Dividend 10.3% to $0.64; 2.4% Yield

J.M. Smucker Co. (NYSE: SJM) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.64 per share, or $2.56 annualized. This is a 10.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.58.

The dividend will be payable on September 2, 2014, to stockholders of record on August 15, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of August 13, 2014.

The annual yield on the dividend is 2.4 percent.

We are pleased with the Board's action to increase the quarterly dividend by ten percent," commented Richard Smucker, Chief Executive Officer. "This action, which represents our thirteenth consecutive year of dividend growth, reflects the confidence we have in the long-term growth of our business. We have paid a dividend each year since becoming a publicly traded company in 1959 and this remains an important component of creating value for our shareholders."
