Leerink Swann today maintained an Outperform rating on Express Scripts (NASDAQ: ESRX) with a price target of $70 to $75. Analyst David Larsen noted the company was working through some customer service issues, but he still believes the company will beat expectations.
"We believe that Express Scripts is pricing more aggressively than many investors expect, we believe ESRX will benefit from trends in the specialty space by encouraging the use of specialty retail 'lock-out' programs, we estimate that mail is usually the lowest cost channel, and we do not believe that the recently announced Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) and AmerisourceBergen (NYSE: ABC) deal will have a significant negative impact on the PBM space," said Larsen.
