Notable ETF Movers of the Day 02/13: (TAN) (OIH) Higher; (XME) Lower

February 13, 2013 1:59 PM EST
Gainers:

Guggenheim Solar (NYSE: TAN) gained 2 percent on Wednesday. Overall it was a mixed day. Shares of MEMC (NYSE: WFR) moved higher after the company reported positive Q4 results, but this was offset by a decline in shares of First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) and Suntech Power Holdings (NYSE: STP).

Market Vectors Oil Services ETF (NYSE: OIH) gained 0.7 percent to 43.6. Much of the gain is attributed to a rally in shares of FMC Technologies (NYSE: FTI) following its Q4 earnings report late on Tuesday. This helped spur small gains in shares of Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) and Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE: WFT).

Decliners:

SPDR S&P Metals & Mining (NYSE: XME) declined 1.15 percent to 44.05. Losses were largely isolated to a single stock, Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLF). Cliffs reported Q4 results late on Tuesday. It also announced an equity offering. In response, the stock was downgraded by a number of analysts.
