Notable ETF Movers of the Day 02/05: (XRT) (XOP) Higher; (KOL) Lower

Gainers:

SPDR S&P Retail ETF (NYSE: XRT) gained 1.7 percent to 67.5. Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: ABG) was among the winners, gained 5 percent. Shares of Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) also climbed higher today, paring loses after an analyst downgrade yesterday.

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Prod ETF (NYSE: XOP) gained 1.6 percent to 58.9. Leaders in the space included Magnum Hunter Resources Corp. (NYSE: MHR) and SM Energy Company (NYSE: SM). Related stocks were positively impacted by higher oil and natural gas prices on Tuesday. Anadarko Petroleum Corp (NYSE: APC) reported earnings on Monday evening, topping estimates by 19 cents. Its shares are higher by 2.8 percent�today

Decliners:

Market Vectors Coal ETF (NYSE: KOL) declined 0.65 percent to 24.62. The biggest mover in the space was Arch Coal Inc. (NYSE: ACI). Its stock traded lower by 10 percent after it reported disappointed results on Tuesday morning. Management said it expect 2013 to be a "rebalancing year", and they are looking forward to improvements in the second half. In the meantime, stocks in the space remain depressed.
