Facebook (FB) Snubbed by Advertisers During Super Bowl; Twitter Jumps 300%

February 4, 2013 9:17 AM EST
Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) is looking weak in early trading Monday following the biggest night for advertisers Sunday.

Oh, and there was a football game happening, too. Or something.

According to Marketing Land, Twitter was the social network with the biggest score, getting mentioned in 26 of 52 commercials ran during the event. Facebook got a nod just four times, while Instagram, Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) YouTube and Google+ weren't mentioned at all.

Facebook and Twitter were tied in last year's Super Bowl, with eight mentions apiece. That means Twitter's exposure grew 300 percent, while Facebook's was halved.

Into the open, Facebook is down about two percent.
